Shaping the Art of Branded Experiences

Direct Mailer
+
Honing our thinking we always bring to our branded experience work, we created a highly focused direct-mail piece designed specifically for leaders and strategic partners in hospitality design. The oversized, editorial-style brochure explores our principles on the art of branded experiences while showcasing a curated collection of our best thinking, creative approaches, and experiential projects. Part manifesto, part portfolio, the piece was designed to demonstrate how we think about brands beyond traditional marketing—creating memorable, meaningful moments that connect people to places, spaces, and experiences. The finished piece was sent to a select group of hospitality design groups we admire, as an introduction to our work and an invitation to imagine what we might create together.

+ Strategy
The approach to creating this piece was intentionally analog. From the outset, tactile, textural materials were central to the experience—we wanted something that would arrive in the mail and feel impossible to overlook as well as speaking the language of creators in the hospitality space.
We designed a 20-page oversized broadsheet that unfolds to the full scale and presence of a traditional newspaper. The newsprint stock and organic way the ink absorbs into the paper gave the piece an inherently tactile quality, creating the perfect canvas for sharing our 10 Principles of Branded Environments and a collection of hospitality work.
The experience extended well beyond the printed piece itself. Each broadsheet was folded and tucked into a custom burlap bag with a hand-applied label, then packaged inside an oversized stay-flat mailer embellished with individual pieces of ephemera. Every layer was considered, turning the simple act of opening the mail into a small moment of discovery. The goal was to reach hospitality teams who understand that details matter—and to demonstrate that philosophy before they even read a word. In an increasingly digital world, we wanted to create something distinctly physical, personal and memorable.
